About cobalt chrome
Cobalt chrome is a nickel-free alloy from the same family used in medical and dental implants. It's naturally a bright, platinum-white — it will never yellow and never needs the rhodium plating that white gold relies on to stay white. It's exceptionally hard, several times harder than gold or platinum, so it holds its polish through daily wear — yet it stays tough rather than brittle, which is why, in an emergency, it can be cut off with a standard ring cutter rather than cracked. It resists corrosion and won't tarnish. It sits substantial on the hand: heavier than titanium, lighter than gold.
