Lifetime Care | Jewelry Cleaning & Inspections in Sandy Springs
Bring your jewelry to our Sandy Springs showroom any time for a free cleaning and inspection. Our jewelers handle it, with a GIA Graduate Gemologist on site. New purchases and custom work also include a 90-day adjustment period for one sizing or fit tweak.
Walk-ins are welcome. If the bench is full when you arrive, we will tell you how long the wait is.What's Included
- Free cleanings: steam or ultrasonic where the stones allow it, gentle hand cleaning where they do not. About 10 to 15 minutes.
- Routine inspections: we check prongs, prong tips, channel settings, clasps and links, and how tightly each stone is held. Small problems are cheap to fix early.
- 90-day adjustments: one sizing or fit tweak on a new or custom piece, at no charge.
- White gold and rhodium guidance: rhodium is the bright white plating on white gold. We will tell you when it is time to re-plate.
- Care education: how to clean jewelry at home, how to store it, and when to take it off.

How It Works
- Visit our showroom in Sandy Springs. Bring your ring, bracelet, chain or earrings.
- We inspect and clean it on the spot. If we find wear or a loose stone, we show you under magnification.
- Leave with it sparkling. If it needs a repair, we quote the options and the timing right away.
When Should I Visit?
- Every 3 to 6 months for a ring you wear every day, such as an engagement or wedding ring.
- Every 6 to 12 months for everything else.
- Before or after travel, the beach, or pool season.
- After a hard knock, or if you hear or feel a rattle.
- When white gold starts to look dull. That usually means it is time to talk about rhodium.
Caring for It at Home
- Mild soap and warm water, a soft-bristle brush, and a lint-free cloth to dry.
- Skip ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals at home if the piece holds a delicate stone — opal, emerald or pearl. In the store we look at each piece first and use only what that stone can safely take.
- Store pieces separately, in soft pouches or a lined box, away from harsh chemicals and extreme heat.
- Take rings and bracelets off before you swim, use household cleaners, or do heavy work with your hands. Strong chemicals dull metal over time, and a hard knock can loosen a stone.
Lavish Jewelry Cleaner is gentle on stones and settings and keeps jewelry bright between visits. Shop online.
Care FAQ
Is professional cleaning really free?
Yes. Cleaning and inspection are complimentary, whether or not the piece came from us. Bring it in any time.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. You can also book a time if you would rather not wait.
Do lab-grown diamonds or moissanite need special care?
No. We clean and service them exactly the same way at our bench — same steam, same ultrasonic where the setting allows, same inspection. A lab-grown diamond is the same material as any other diamond, so nothing about its care is different at all. Moissanite is a shade softer, 9.25 on the Mohs scale against a diamond's 10, but it is still hard enough that it changes nothing in practice, at home or here.
Helpful Guides
Sourcing & Sustainability
Every piece we create comes with a clear record of where its materials came from. On select pieces that includes an independent sustainability rating.
- Conflict-free diamonds: we buy only from suppliers who follow the Kimberley Process, the international system that keeps conflict diamonds out of the trade.
- Certified stones: our natural and lab-grown diamonds are graded by an independent laboratory, GIA or IGI, and the report comes with the stone.
- Recycled metals available: we can make your piece in recycled gold or platinum, with the refinery paperwork to show it.
- SCS Sustainability Rated diamonds: select lab-grown diamonds carry a sustainability rating from SCS Global Services, an independent rating agency.
