A note on cut grades, because it trips people up. GIA issues an overall cut grade for round brilliant diamonds only — on an oval, pear, cushion, emerald or radiant the report carries polish and symmetry but no cut grade at all. So any superlative cut claim on a fancy shape came from somewhere other than GIA.
