Do you buy or trade gold jewelry in Sandy Springs?
The short answer: yes, in a specific way. Farsi Jewelers accepts your gold jewelry as trade-in credit toward a new piece we design for you — not as a cash buyout. Every piece is different, so we look at it with you in person rather than quoting a number online. If you have gold you don't wear anymore, bring it in and let's talk about what it could become.
How gold trade-in works
Bring your gold jewelry into our Sandy Springs showroom — rings, chains, bracelets, earrings, a single piece or a drawer full of things you never wear. We look at it together: karat, weight, and condition. If it's a fit, its value becomes credit toward a new custom piece, designed the same way we design every engagement ring or custom order — through our 3D Bespoke Method, so you see the design before anything is made. There's no online estimate or calculator here. Every piece and every project is different, and we'd rather look at the real thing than guess at a number.
What we evaluate — and what's excluded
We look at karat purity (10k, 14k, 18k, and up), weight, and condition. A broken clasp, an outdated setting, a tangled chain — none of that matters; it's the gold itself we're assessing.
Center stones and loose gemstones are a separate conversation. If your piece has a diamond or gemstone in it, we'll talk through what makes sense for that stone on its own — it isn't included in the gold trade-in value. Some customers reset their own stone into the new design. Some choose something different entirely. Either way, we handle it individually, with the same care we give any custom piece.
This becomes your new piece
Trade-in credit works best when it funds something you'll actually wear. A lot of what comes in this way is exactly where a heirloom redesign starts — an old bracelet, a ring you inherited but never wear, gold that's been sitting in a drawer for years. We put it to work in a design built in CAD and shown to you in 3D before we ever touch the metal, the same process behind every custom piece we build. See some of that work in our restoration and heirloom redesign projects.
Gold trade-in FAQ
Do you buy gold outright, or only as trade-in credit?
This page is about trade-in credit toward a new piece — we don't run a public gold-buying program. If you have a specific situation you'd like to discuss, come in and we're happy to talk it through.
What about the stone in my piece?
We evaluate that separately from the trade-in — it isn't part of the gold's value. We'll talk through your options for the stone itself when you bring the piece in.
Do I need an appointment?
Not required, but it helps us make sure a gemologist has time to look at your piece properly. Call or book ahead if you can.
How is the trade-in value determined?
By karat, weight, and condition, evaluated in person. We don't publish a calculator or a per-gram rate — every piece, and every day's gold market, is different.
Can I apply the credit toward any custom piece?
Yes — an engagement ring, a redesigned heirloom, or something built from scratch. The credit works the same way regardless of what you're building.
