About tantalum
Tantalum is element 73: a naturally dark blue-grey metal, genuinely scarce, and dense enough that it sits heavier on the hand than 14K gold — closer to the weight of 18K. It will not tarnish and it will not corrode. It contains no nickel, and it's the same metal used in orthopedic and dental implants, so it wears comfortably against skin. This one is tantalum in its natural state — no plating, no coating, just the metal's own blue-grey color.
